I assume they have critical mass issues. Not enough people to have decent quality or prevent lunacy.
That, and the way average screw of someone who would sign up to an entire new ideological wikipedia because they felt marginalised is probably looser than that of the general population.

On the biblical justifications...
I did happen to glance at that controversial pamphlet whoever it was put out (link welcome), one thing that struck me.
There may have been a couple of supporting quotes specifically about children, but most of them were about servants.
Such as, servants are so dumb they will only learn by being beaten.
So we have a) children are servants, b) adult servants are subhuman.
*sigh*

It is interesting to look at Churchill's bit in terms of being shaped around changes from monosyllables (usually more ancient to the language) to longer words. I've seen Shakespeare praised for similar business.

My pet MS message peeve is with office. I can usually aviod Mr Paperclip but I've come across this one infinity percent more often than I'd like...
When you open an office app for the first time on the machine, there's the assistant, saying blah blah blah.
Whatever. Try to use the program, that is sitting there, open. Doesn't work.
Fluff about a bit. Click the 'close' button in the corner of the assistant. Nothing happens.
Actually read the message, and discover the only way to start using the programme is to click the option "Start using [program x]" in the office assitant's speech bubble.
I always thought I indicated my willingness to start using the app by opening it.

Actually that last bit was rhetorical. Not really a native PC person and wouldn't get vista by choice. Would prefer it if hardware prices didn't go up, tho.
