If he's still there in three years I'll be amazed ... and I'll be finding another party for which to vote.

We could start by rounding up The Herald opinion columnists and editorial writers and putting them in a very small dark room until more than 50% of them apologize for being shitweasels.
Then we can do the same for all the talkback radio hosts.

Who is the MP for that electorate?
And opposition list MP representing that electorate? -
When I was a little boy I used to do things that I knew were wrong, yes it's a shock I know. When responsible adults caught me and challenged me I would invent excuses, I had a good imagination, I had some really good excuses. But in the end they were only excuses for doing something I knew was wrong.
Sadly it seems we have employed some naughty little boys to plan our city. They know what they are doing is wrong and they are making excuses, excuses to ignore those that they know are going to tell them off for being naughty little boys who should know better.
The trees should never have been under threat, the designs should have worked around them from the beginning, the designers know full well they deserve a telling off. They should grow up, accept that they have done wrong and fix it.
That's what grown ups do.

You really can’t. [snip] other than architecture/design.
It is one of the issues that the expense of design is one of the first parts of a budget to be cut in a building like Vector.
Even so, I wonder whether it might be possible to alleviate some of the worst problems by using noise cancellation speakers around the venue hooked up to some serious computing. As you said it is physics, but it is only physics.
But the flip side of the question is if you want purity of sound then surely a live performance is the last place you want to be. The live venue gives you the shared experience of the crowd and emotional content but can never give you the pure sound. I guess the aim is to reach a "good enough" standard, which Vector has not.

how do you feel about flags? :)
Maybe the new flag should have a kitten on it ...

Much like ACC when they tried in 2009.
And the response was to cut payments and make the "business" look more profitable - sigh.

There’s public perception, which would likely run poorly for the govt selling it.
You can't be serious. This govt sold major assets that earned millions against overwhelming public opposition. The only reason for not selling is they can't find a buyer.

why TVNZ has not been put up for sale yet
Wasn't profitable enough. You need to cut costs to the bone by killing maintenance, halting any upgrades to modern technology, fire expensive staff. Then you get a bump in profits and sell quickly, hoping all the while that the buyer doesn't realise the asset needs massive reinvestment if it is to continue to earn any revenue.

someone senior walking the floor and talking to people.
Good grief man that's crazy talk. They are managers, they look at spreadsheets and have lunch meetings with each other, none of that nasty communication with the staff, they have people for that.
