It goes without saying that the electoral fortunes of Labour/the Left are at an all-time low. Expecting Little to win an historically-Right-leaning seat in these circumstances is silly (or disingenuous). Why not leave that kind of spin to National and the MSM rather than contributing to it – presumably as a result of sour grapes.
It's the Rowling we-love-a-loser era once more as NZ Labour retreats to become the party of condescending scolds. Is Hipkins the next Prebble?

I think Andrew Little has got the potential to evolve into a much more deeply popular leader.
Both Margaret Thatcher and David Lange seemed happy to be described as "deeply religious" regarding their personal beliefs. In practice it was a kind of PR-speak for don't bother digging. In that sense, "deeply popular" seems a fair enough fit for a bloodless wonk already rejected by the voters of New Plymouth.

The ‘Sutton considers his future’ story
Oh those Quirky Roger Facts.
Whatever the outcome, I think we can assume that the Press has finally seen the futility of pouring whatever nonsense Sutton’s minders issue them with into the void of his personality bypass.Back when Sutton took to wearing a Kray Brothers-ish broad pinstriped suit, no doubt on the advice of those same minders, someone posted in the Press’s online comments “Young wild pigs have stripes. This guy isn’t wild, he’s Gerry’s stooge.”

the amount of residential land owned by them is huge too.
Commercial properties too. You might recall a certain church missionary organisation suffering a brief embarrassment a couple of decades ago when The Pink Pussycat in K Road's landlady passed on and left them the property in her will.

There’s quite a big market for stories about Bad things being done to Good people
Yes, Fair Go has been around since I was a kid. Was it even the same guys?
When Nicky Hager spoke in Christchurch shortly after the publication of The Hollow Men he was asked if he feared for his personal safety. He replied that, because of NZ's then relatively benign attitude to political dissent, he'd have felt at greater risk doing Fair Go type stories.

There’s quite a big market for stories about Bad things being done to Good people, which is fine, but not much market for highly technical stories about policy and how it is made and how it works.
If only the suckers were better informed they'd quit their whining and willingly grab their ankles. Yeah right.

Not only that, I once owned a car that didn’t even require feet in order to be driven . It was a triumph 2000, modified by the legendary Doctor Dick from Evens bay.
While my first car, a 1928 Ford A, had an accelerator pedal on the floor, it also had hand levers if your foot got tired.

Pretty sure it’s an urban myth
As far as I know the goofyfoot gas pedal is still legal.
