Otaki to Levin
The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) has completed preliminary work on investigating improvements to the approximately 30km section of State Highway 1 (SH1) from north Otaki to north of Levin. This project is part of the Wellington Northern Corridor, which has been identified by the Government as a road of national significance.

considering there are only 7 roads with this status it is inconceivable that Brownlee did not know this highway was part of it. It is also inconceivable that Genter didnt seek to table this part of the website that pointed this out.

When these raids occurred I thought at the time that the cops had gotten completely the wrong idea of what was happening in Urewera. In effect what was happening was a few guys playing “cop ‘n’ robbers”. They were acting the part, but there was no way it was anything serious. Sure, they might’ve said things, but there was no way they were actually going to do anything.
And There is the rub. They were playing with real guns and saying stupid shit. As we can see from all over the world it only takes one dick head to take it all to seriously and tradgey insues. Then we ask why the hell did the police just sit back and let it happen. Sure they stuffed up some pretty major aspects of the case and its easy to see why with untested law being used. I don’t think we could have expected them not to intervene here

Yes we see this a lot with contracting out. Remember when phone technicians at telecom disputed their pay and conditions telecom said it was an issue with their contracted company and nothing to do with them. Even though telecom was the one
screwing down the contract to visionstream which passed that on to employees. Companies absolving themselves of responsibility with bits of paper from the companies office is pretty shamefull -
