A friend of mine caught wind of the brewing brouhaha about breaking wii mote straps and in true #8 style made this video http://one.revver.com/watch/121118 . It is now the number one Google hit for a search of Wii Fatality. He has easily earned enough from the vid to pay for his Wii and then some. And man it sure is fun. I think your arm gets sore as you compensate for nor hitting the imaginary ball.

oh just checked playing QT movies enables the Front Row remote no need for iTunes... looks like it is goodbye to my VLC player. Thanks Public Address! If anyone discovers a hack to put the AVI's into iTunes then Apple TV would be the go.

A question for Russell... I downloaded that Perian software so I can now play AVI's with QT, YAY! Now how do you take these movies into iTunes so you can play them with front row? I tried to drag and drop them but it won't work.
very infortmative discussions today, but I am amazed that nobody else seems to care what a drongo Brett Lee made of himself. -
The Brett Lee video is comedy gold. Maybe the Black Caps have hope after all in the Tri-Series.

But having read the Telegraph article and seen the photos he doesn't exactly come over as Hannibal Lechter either.
It is curious how in the light of suspicion everything seems dodgy. The other thing interesting is that he stopped posting on My Space on October 27th. If he is the murdererer then it is possible that his dark desires consumed everything else in his life... or that he realised having any sort of trail to him was a bad idea.
I guess this means he didn't use the cyberworld to contact any of his victims, which is a relief I guess.

And the reason is thus... the prices on the Apple on-line store are way cheaper than we have been obliged to pay up until now. I have just bought an i-mac on the new site, for $200 cheaper than at Magnum Mac. And it should arrive tomorrow, with free delivery. NICE

What a shocker this stadium "debate" has become. It reflects poorly on everyone involved, from the Government's suspect timing in raising the issue, to the intransigence of all the parties with a vested interest, and the sheer bloody mindedness of the casual observers.
We have heard repeatedly that the model used to illustrate the concept is in no way a final reflection of the concept, but now we have people on the verge of tears talking it up as a monstrosity.
If the Government had invested more time and thought into the initial concept, then it would have been easier to get people to get behind the project.
Even more worrying is that the All Blacks no longer looked the goods on the weekend. Is Leon MacDonald really a better fullback than Conrad is a centre?
It is all pretty deflating really. -
Someone has to say this... Nickle Spack

The irony is that should Auckland get its act together to build a 60000 seat stadium, it would most certailnly only ever be filled during the 2011 World Cup, and for occasional important Test matches.
Aucklanders have proved themselves over the years to be very unloyal and disinterested in their Provincial sports teams. Indeed I believe every time they have lost the Ranfurly Shield it has been in half empty stadiums, where the Challengers had as many supporters there as the A Team.
Prehaps the most sensible idea is to get Christchurch to build this thing and host the WC final, as they have the right kind of Provincial enthusiasm to make proper use of such a facility.
I am from Wellington and have no particular fondness for ChCh per se, but I think my observation is accurate.
