Hang in there, and I’ll see if I can find out more.
No problem I'll try a bookstore, just prefer kindle these days, no paper, easy to carry and store, bookshelves are full and groaning.. :-)

Good on you for the give away, I am happy to pay for a copy. Is it available as ebook? The University Press website sent me into a frustrating loop, and Amazon says not available.

Speaker: Why you should vote, in reply to
I also have a simpler notion, which I have tried to impress on my kids.
Contemplate an environment where you have no vote, then consider how lucky you are to have the right. Now exercise that right.
You can use it positively to support or negatively to demonstrate disagreement, but please use the opportunity.

Sounds like a good city weekend. Ours was more suburban, but no less Auckland. Saturday was for fishing, off the bottom of Waiheke, plenty biting, three good size snapper in the chilly bin and one more which escaped at the last moment, plus a few thrown back. Sunday was relocating some roses in the garden, taking down a tree that was past it's best and finished with a community "do" which included bike races for kids, egg throwing, three legged races and a BBQ to finish. nice.

I recently added a DAC to one of my amps. Good, improvement if you listen properly.
Newbie question. How does streamed music (Pandora/Spotify) compare with Mp3/AAC etc? Sounds better to me, but I am no audiophile..

Yes Chris, apologies for the incorrect abbreviation, Wa. State might have been clearer, but for sure Washington would have been better.
In fact I wish to attain a sate of Wa (Japanese (和?) = harmony) as the festive season approaches!

Like a few others, it was Bowie in '78, at the Springs for me. During or just after school C exams, loaded on the back of a mates Dad's Holden ute. My poor mother was ignorant of the transport arrangements thank God. No memory of the show at all, but clearly remember thinking that the back of the ute went from cool to scary quite quickly once we picked up speed. I also remember that Cheap Trick show at the Town Hall Russell. They really set the standard for live shows for me for quite a while after that.
