Hard News: Do you like what we've done…, in reply to
It is by relevancy currently, but it may be easy to offer a chronological list as well, or a sort option. I’ll investigate.

Definitely not expected behaviour. I’ll have a word to the technicians next week. (The site uses a cookie to remember your logged in state if you select "Remember Me" when signing in, so it’s normal to be logged in when returning via a link.)

Hi Giovanni, could you let me know what you mean by random? It’s designed to send you a single email when the thread is updated, but then not bother you again until you follow the link provided. Once you’ve visited the thread, you’ll then receive another email the next time a new post is made, and so forth.

My mistake. The best (only) way to jump to the last unread post is via the email subscription mechanism on each thread. Once subscribed, you receive a single email when a new message is posted to the thread (but no further messages until you follow the link in the email, to save cluttering the inbox). It might be interesting to look at a similar concept on the site for signed-in users.

Tracy, we considerably upped the default font size in this design, on posts it’s larger than the largest size on the old site. We don’t plan to bring back the size switcher as Ctrl-+ works well for users requiring a larger size. You could try disabling the Typekit faces (bottom right corner) to see if this improves legibility for you.

Steve, there’s a link to the last post in a topic right below its title in the listing views. You’ll also find your browser probably has a hotkey you can use to force links to open in a new tab or window, which is a better approach to take for internal links within a site.

When there’s time, I also suggested a manual change ages ago – reduce the quote tag to <q>
Sacha, your lucky day. We've added this as an alias, it always bugged me too.

Actually, seems the selection detection is easier than we thought. We’ve just added functionality for supported browsers to place selected text from anywhere on the page into the textarea when you hit the Reply button (the textarea must be empty, and formatting will be removed). Merry Christmas!

Detecting the selected text in the browser isn't an exact science, but this is on the list to investigate. We also thought about quoting all text from a post when using the reply button, however this might be confusing and/or annoying.

Sam, we're having trouble reproducing this. Could you perhaps email me a description of what you were attempting to post and what errors you saw?
