Hard News: An excellent evening in Newtown, in reply to Russell Brown,
Was the advice:
• Useful
• Not usefulTick one.
In all seriousness, since I managed to get my hands on the only food in the building (a cup of peanuts), perhaps next time there could be a bake sale accompanying the drinking, for charity and host responsibility?

Thanks for a really interesting night, Russell and everyone else, it was great!

Mud? Or jello?
We've debated this for a long time. I think because Megan and I are Serious Sports People, we had a preference for mud. But others wanted to see Jelly. But seriously, I'll wrestle Megan in whatever substance I get the chance to.

I think it is didn't someone mention wrestling?
That would be me, rasslin' with Megan, I do believe.

Field Theory: Japan Part Two: It's…, in reply to JackElder,
I know we were in Tokyo at the same time, and we’ve talked about this and stuff, but what made me fucking bawl like a bullied little 12 year old when I watched Lost in Translation was the fucking smell of Tokyo that came from the TV. It was unbelievably visceral and kind of extreme.
@hadyngreen, @linger clearly neither of you have been 14 year old girls living in Tokyo with a badass best friend, or both of you would spend all your weekend time at the Roppongi bars...

Hard News: Because it's about time we…, in reply to Scott A,
You can get bottomless (single origin, organic) coffee at Monterey Newtown. Which is fantastic.

I went to the Leibowitz show at the Wellington gallery several years ago. Couldn’t find the soul in it anywhere.
Was that the one in 1997? I remember reviewing it for Art History class.
