If anyone's ever in the States I recommend Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale . A brilliant drop, alas not available outside the states.

It's a bit the same with Dai Henwood -- he's actually really smart, and that becomes more obvious when he's not doing his dirty-jokes-for-the-kids thing.
No disagreement there. I've got a lot of time for Dai.

And great to hear Chris is doing well.

Am I correct in thinking you still need special glasses to see these 3D films, and the only advance is they are polarised instead of different colours.
You are correct on both points.
My socks were blown off by the Avatar preview. Although I do wish Cameron would get off his military kick.
I would have been willing to give "7 Days" a go except for the fact that both Dai Henwood and Jeremy Corbett make me break out in hives...
I know what you mean, but Corbett was actually amusing. Am now rethinking everything I thought I knew.

On a related note, I remember interviewing a resident from Paritutu just after the documentary aired. He was mainly just fed up, as was the rest of the community he claimed, with journalists who kept on descending on the area every few years sparking yet another ultimately fruitless round of media attention.
As to the doco itself, I remember thinking at the time it was a good crack at presenting difficult scientific and mathematical methodologies to the public. But it does seem a few errors in the ESR study were made much of.

I like the idea of closing down traffic access to the Quay St crossing, I just wish they'd do it to Queen St.

Just one question for Rick: does KidsCan have a strategy in place to reduce its marketing spend?

Epilepsy NZ managed to lose 75 per cent of its fund-raising to a telemarketing company. Isn't that like handing over money to Satan?

Didn't the Herald try subscriptions a while back before returning to free content?
Meanwhile, did anyone hear Mediawatch on Sunday? And does anyone really believe The News of the World is the only British paper that treats privacy with flat out contempt?
According toWensley Clarkson , who was a dirty little hack himself, it's all over the show.

Perhaps the best explanation of why cussing isn't necessarily gratuitous: "Fuck off doesn't mean "go away" it means "FUCK OFF."
