sharp eye for a tree
It's very photogenic! More gnarly with age than my mother on the seat there, refreshing old memories, making new ones.
She lived with her grandparents one block inland in the mid-1920s - across the street at the other end of that small reserve. Best years of her childhood. -
Capture: See Into the Trees, in reply to Nora Leggs,
Could this be the reverse view of yours, Nora?
Featuring the same old macrocarpa tree on Cheltenham Beach, but from landward? -
Capture: See Into the Trees, in reply to Nora Leggs,
Looks amazing!
The array of related but independent framed reflections forming a cohesive whole -
with just enough imperfection of the window frames relative to the photo framing to settle any doubt as to its artifice or 'reality'.
Would be great as a big print. -
Hard News: Privacy and the Public Interest, in reply to stephen clover,
Don't know if this helps and can't find web resource to back this up but I'm pretty sure that is a Wayne Youle (Māori artist) tee.
Yeah, I don't think it helps - context and all that - but thanks and to Joe Wylie for the suggestion.
Looks to me John Key still thought his business was selling derivatives ...

Hard News: Privacy and the Public Interest, in reply to Ian Dalziel,
Key's Mr Lollipop Man T-shirt, mangles our cultures like he mangles words - mr sensitive...
Wow! That T-shirt is indeed a remarkable reflection of his judgement of style and message -- multiple points of offensiveness to parade at Waitangi!
Alas, rather pointedly underscores how far I am from the mass of NZ voters who are said to support him as preferred prime minister - imcomprehensible, mutter mutter ...

Capture: The Colour Of Spring, in reply to Russell Brown,
some ducks on a sunny Spring morning.
Sorry. One duck. Similar colour on a sunny Spring morning.
Antidote for the sensitive :-) -
First of spring - first flowering of doorstep iboza

Sun didn't last - two hours later, mizzle trees again
