Arrests do almost always happen before trials, rather than after them.
Indeed. The forcible closure, without a trial, of a service used legitimately by millions of people seems a little different, though.
It's interesting that the key to the indictment is that the defendants are alleged to have committed infringements on a scale that would be familiar to most of us here -- personally accessing infringing content, sharing links with others. Without that, as I understand it, the subsequent racketeering and money-laundering charges don't fly.

The presentation is astounding in its negative application of caricatures. Just what relationships will this improve? Hang your head in shame Debbie Barber, whoever you are.
As someone formerly in the the game for many years, I find it mindbending that a comms “expert” and her managers think this will help anything other than send the policy-making EQC staff further into their bunker while the frontliners cop the fall-out.
It’s astonishing, isn’t it?
Firstly that this sort of amateurish bollocks is what’s being presented by highly-paid people, and secondly that it reinforces an inevitably disastrous siege mentality.

The thing was, the small crowd was awesome.
After all these years, being able to just bowl up to the food and drink stalls, and not queue for the toilet was such a pleasure. The mobile networks seemed to have been provisioned for a much bigger crowd and it was no bother to get anywhere.
The change in site design was like a glimpse at an alternative history. The weather was such that the tentless Boiler Room stage was wonderful, especially later on, when lots of people sat (or lay) down on the grassy slope and enjoyed the sights and sounds.
And having a half an hour of chillout music between bands on the Converse stage was glorious: old soul after UMO, Daphne Walker later on, then Nick Cave’s ‘Wonderful Life’ before the Adults. It would have been a disaster on a damp day, but it was great yesterday.
I suspect the upper section of the site -- the Boiler Room and the Converse stage -- was what any replacement is going to look like. The stadium, not so much.
