So it turns it okay do it with two handles at the same time. As long as everyone involved meaningfully consents.
I wouldn't want everyone doing it, though. It could get messy and confusing.

I didn't spend more than about 10 mins reading the copyright thread, where I understand lil'P blew a lot of his social capital. It's a big hole in my PAS fluency
No, that was robbery and to a lesser extent pollywog -- both of whose real names I know. lil' P may be at Auckland University, but I'm not sure. He is much stranger and a lot more angry.

Which…er, well, my PAS presence was established long before I even applied, and I don’t think I’ve got more obscene. Depending upon one’s definition of obscene.
I’m fortunate enough to have established a, um, brand through having been writing frankly under my own name since forever. I’m expected to be that guy. It has helped that I owe no great fealty to any institution and have not generally had proper employers to embarrass.

There ya go, I'd thought they were all the same person
Yeah me too, till Sacha told me the other day.
Really? Utterly different prose style and MOs. But I suppose I had to interact directly with both of them.

I'm sure it won't take anyone very long to work it out. The whole Ian D fanboi bit, etc. Not to mention the fact I doubt Russell will let me continue under two logins.
Or will you? Since you seem to think that would be fun.
Evs. I need no convincing of your good faith, so what the hell.

Well, it didn't take long for some people to suspect who I am behind this pseudonym
Somewhere south of 60 seconds from first appearance :-)

The NZLS has a membership process for its duel representative role (that bit is voluntary).
And rightly so. Being a representative in a duel sounds dangerous.

I do wonder about the potential for people playing 'detect the writer behind the pseudonym using distinctive writing-style clues'.
Inevitable. I'd quite enjoy the challenge of disguising my prose style, tbh.

As a member of the community and taxpayer, my interest is in the facilities and institutions in the care of student unions. I see a range of benefits in, for example, student media. I think students owe the rest of us some duty of continuity in those things.
OTOH, the real-world experience for the likes of bFM has often been a struggle against whoever ends up on this year's student exec. Debbi Gibbs' bFM Historical Society interview has some striking stories in that respect.

I love this thread.
This is rapidly approaching my favourite thread _ever_.
I, too, am full of hot, chocolatey love for this thread.
I have wondered in the past about setting up a discussion about sex so that people can choose a temporary pseudonym that would let them frankly share feelings and experiences in a fully anonymous fashion. That would be the next level.
