I was trying to explain to my daughter why the Earth has magnetic poles and the Moon doesn't.

I think we need to remember that the humble long drop loo is as much, if not more, part of our NZ heritage than any other building around the country. Being ugly and useful does not prevent something having heritage values.

We saw This Guy tonight I was blown away.
If you buy drinks for him after a gig, he'll also sing requests for you at your table. I got him to sing 'mona lisa' for my girlfriend once. Great fun.

I think the stand down is a couple of weeks. It gets longer if you receive a redundancy payment.
