Or perhaps like many others I trust that I'm smart enough to notice the effect over time, notice when it's not there - and ask other intelligent people about their experience to decide whether to go there.
I'm somewhat amused by the postings by some people on this thread, and contrasting with postings on a religious thread.
If a person was to pop up and say "we don't know how god helps people, but me and lots of other people have experienced that help" they'd be shot down as religious nutters.
And yet a similar experience with unexplainable medical treatments seems to get supported.

I can own up to having a fondness for Jethro Tull, though I can't say I've heard all their albums and played them to death or anything.
They seem to me to be the ideal sound for movie soundtracks, I'm not sure why. I like the way the flute fits in.
I've never seen them live, but watching the one that Danielle posted above, that would annoy the hell out of me. "Pee already, dammit!"

Just because it's not on TV, doesn't mean that they couldn't demonstrate their benefits (or lack of) with the Junior ABs, which is where they'd all have been playing.
That really is half the point of a Junior ABs team.

Except in that case it was a stupid thing to do, because we had been beating Australia throughout the series and losing to South Africa, and ended up losing the final by a pretty large margin.
Oh maybe. We might have got our butts kicked by Australia in the final just as much.
But you wouldn't catch Stephen Fleming not being fully informed, apparently that's OK with the All Blacks though.

A couple of years ago I was astounded by the news that some very rich bugger wouldn't be getting the $3,000 fine that the judge would have normally given for cocaine possession, because he was so rich that it wouldn't have had any effect on him. I believe I started talking loudly to the radio.
