If only he'd stuck to poking his rod into a goldfish pond rather than the economy....
So many images come to mind... out damn spot!

Auckland City ratepayers will be asked to pay more than $100 million to turn Queens Wharf into "party central" for the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
That's bizarre. And people think our stadium is the council wasting money.

The ones I can remember were : crafts, public speaking, walking, entertaining, self-presentation (which was how to put on make-up and have good posture) and out of left field - flying.
Walking? Some people hadn't mastered this by high school?
This may apply for rear wheel drive cars (depending on the cause of the skid), but for front wheel drive cars you should point the wheels in the direction you are trying to go, and keep your foot on the accelerator (but not too much) so that the front wheels are trying to drag the car in that direction.
Wait, where does the swearing and screaming come in?

Dude, you should try lamb shanks with red wine in a slow cooker: unreal.
My girlfriend is a lamb shanks nut.
She doesn't read PAS and she's probably drooling anyway.

I neither grow nor clean potatoes. I order them as a side dish in the form of rosemary roast potatoes at Floriditas or pommes puree at Duke Carvell's No. 6 Swan Lane Emporium.
Completely off topic, but I got a slow cooker for my birthday and used it for the first time on Tuesday to make corned beef with garlic, onions and bay leaves in the liquid.
Oh. My. God. I will never be the same again. Why isn't everything in the world cooked like that?

I suspect that the phone call is evidence that there was another person in the room while David was on the phone.
This second person is the actual killer.
Wait, is there a grassy knoll near the house? Oh, nevermind.

I'm hardly going to start growing potatoes in my sink
Nonono. You clean them in the sink. You grow them in buckets. Or decent bags.

Hadyn, your thread seems to have denegrated into a hundred posts of "this popular mechanic man-thing doesn't reflect what PAS thinks of men-things". Which I suspect we all knew to start with.
I find a lot of the actual items on the Popular Mechanics list annoying - the baseline assumption that to be a man, you must be a driver, for instance.
I don't think that everyone should be a driver. I think that everyone should know how to drive, even if you never plan to. One accident or health emergency affecting someone else and knowing which end of the knobs and pedals work is going to suddenly become important.
Along with swimming.

Sorry for repeating myself, but I don't think Goff or the media have exactly covered themselves in glory as opposed to something a little more fragrant.
I think he did better than Key at step 1, which was bringing the matter to Key's attention in confidence, at which point Key didn't even look at the text messages, but simply asked Worth if they were true.
From then on, it's been a pretty epic fail on the PMs part. His insistence that she give the messages to his chief of staff is weird. I suspect she wants as few people as possible to see them, and I fail to see why he shouldn't respect that, her being the victim and all.
Any sense beginning with "But Goff didn't/did..." doesn't absolve Key of his responsibilities in the matter.

I was more put off by "60. Create a Sacred Space"
That might be where you use the torque wrench?
