linger - independents don't create overhang.
How does that work Graeme? By logic they would be an automatic overhang.

Also, Craig, I feel bound to note that you replied to my post at the same time I posted it. I didn't even have time to get out the stopwatch!
Actually Russell, I just checked three other threads, and on the first page of system comments, the time that the blog is posted is always the same as the time of the first comment.
Must be a bug in system in that, perhaps the blog post doesn't move over to system and get timestamped until the first comment is made.
Compare the time listed for your blog post in system (9.14), and then go back to the original blog (9.06).

According to Reebok the N does not stand for Nike.
Haha. That someone else's funny, or did you come up with it all by yourself?

Is this stuff screened in nz anyway?
Only the final series - last 7 games out of about 1600 in the season.
Sky used to show some as ESPN had the rights, but past three years the rights are owned by a different company in the states, so we get nothing. More poker. Cheerleading. Craploads of soccer from Europe. Etc.

I'm aware that past behaviour is the best indicator of future behaviour but times change and ideologies can be usurped on the altar of pragmatism and, fingers crossed, compassion and intellectual rigour.
The 4th and 5th Labour governments being an excellent case in point.

700 meg eh kyle, that's suspiciously the same size as a movie file
NHL ice hockey games.
I've never downloaded a movie over the internet. I have several drawers of videos and dvds which I've bought, and I hire anything that I want to see but don't think I'll want to see more than once. Or catch it when it makes it to TV.

Because even putting aside the threshold/electorate arguments for a minute, if you do get in that way aren't you the LEAST mandated MP? And therefore not really in a position to demand Cabinet responsibility?
I think the only mandate there is, is the Chief Electoral Officer putting your name on the list of MPs. Anything after that you make through coalitions etc, not from the votes you do or don't get.
Cullen has been deputy PM and Finance Minister from the party list.

The bean poll put National on 44 per cent (actual vote 45.5 per cent), Labour 32 per cent (33.8 per cent), Greens 11 per cent (6.4 per cent) and NZ First 4 per cent (4.2 per cent).
Green voters apparently drink almost twice as much coffee as the rest of the population. Which raises the question - do Muffin Break use fair trade coffee? Their web site doesn't mention it at a quick glance (which probably means "no").

Oh, and if you're playing pool/snooker then to guarantee your opponent misses that vital shot simply stand behind the pot they're going for and ever so slightly waggle your cue from hand to hand ...
I play competitive and social pool in bars where that can see you ending up in a great deal of pain. Indeed, any serious pool game I've played, you'd be asked to move as a preliminary request :)
