Fine, Kyle, copy my Maine post without citation. Plagiarism, I say! Plagiarism!
If you're going to focus on the downstream races and not keep your eye on the big game, plagiarism is the best you can hope for ;)

Obama well ahead in Florida and North Carolina with significant numbers of votes in. Well ahead in Ohio, but early days there.
-
Heh. CNN has called Maine for Obama. If you scroll over, it's 2 votes for Obama, one for McCain. 67% vs 33%.
Now that's calling the vote early.
And, a polling station that only got three votes?
-
Graeme - CNN has a popular vote count, along with states, electoral college etc.

Sssshhhhh, Kyle. Don't give us away to The Man!
I'm surprised that the man hasn't noticed that there's a bunch of people watching TV, and going "Squee! Holograms!" and then typing furiously.

and heeeerrreee come the hooollloograaams!
Don't you people have, I dunno, jobs?
And if you don't, quit with the boasting about watching TV already!

but the tradition does dictate that it should also include some sharing of resources, some recognition of people in the community who might need help.
And, at least from the little I've seen of it, that anyone should be welcome if they don't have another place to go. Which is nice.

I quite agree. That would also be the situation in many bars and nightclubs.
Other than the fact that the players didn't do that, it really is a News Shocker: Attractive women flirt with rich men, headline.
I wonder who the players were more annoyed with: Stanford, or the boyfriends/husbands of the flirting WAGs.

I was at a canddiates' meeting on Waiheke Island and Kaye *constantly* leafed through her folder, not just when she had lost interest.
I had a meeting with Rodney Hide once at the students association down here. He spent all the time that he wasn't talking (and some of the time he was) playing with his cell phone. Not making calls or texting (unless it was on silent and non-vibrate), but spinning it around, pushing buttons to read stuff, picking it up and putting it down, checking the screen.
I'll give grudging respect to anyone on the political spectrum if they've got brains and work hard. He lost any chance of that from me by asking for a meeting and then not having any interest in talking to us about the concerns of the 15,000 students we were representing.

Fact: In 1990 Bill Birch ran over student protester Felix Geiringer at Otago University. I know, as I was at the same protest. I wouldn't be surprised if Kyle Matthews had been in the vicinity, either.
Actually, I was going to high school in Auckland at the time.
Though, events of legend and all that.
