    Exceptional times require exceptional measures

Yeah. So wouldn't you expect that Brownlee's mates might make an exception and take the offered pittance of $400 a day to help out and provide a public service?

Interesting that the UK parliament allows free-flowing dreads. Nandor had to keep his up in a sock or be ruled out of order, right?

  • OnPoint: Easy as 1, 2, 22.8 billion,

It was an incredibly harsh tax able to be avoided by succesion planning.

What was happning, on account of inflation, a modest estate of a family home or a farm was being caught by estate duty – hence the zero rating

So somebody who has poor parents, works for years and earns a million dollars will pay tax on that, maybe $330k.

Someone sensible enough to choose rich parents who leave them a house or farm worth a million dollars pays *no* tax.

I was actually wondering whether Otis had been busted and made to do those artworks as some sort of diversion scheme.

I prefer some of the Weston Frizell stuff he did around the Urewera 18 - like this.

It seems to be a bit cavalier to allow open USB ports on machines with PNC access. Really, information like that should be on locked-down machines with no USB or drives, no internet connectivity and controlled access.

I was searching for an excuse to bring that one up, and nailing it on a member of the BRF is an ideal way. Must remember that.

So's Homer Simpson and he's still alive. Works for Murdoch as well. Hmmmmm.

  • Cracker: Another Capital Idea..., in reply to Andrew C,

I’ve heard that crap before from Tories.

Where they went wrong was that they shouldn’t just have beaten him, but beaten him until he pulled all the cash out of his bank accounts and signed over his house and car. Then left him naked in a ditch.

Because all those dollars he had to nicely buy drinks had been stolen from the other nine guys, and in imaginary-righty land, the only law is violence.

    It’s an unexplained/no-suspicious-circumstances-type death, ie suspected sucide/overdose

A bit like all those Marconi scientists, but it turned out in the end that that was a hoax perpetrated by a psychopathic terrorist in order to lure a Scottish investigative journalist into being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and thus take the fall for his spectacular murder spree.
