So how do we get rid of these fucksticks?
If there was a viable alternative at the recent election, the govt would have changed. Help build that alternative now rather than focus on those who are willing to passively support a re-run of hateful 90s neoliberalism. It doesn't have to take another 3 years to bring about a change, either. This govt only has a tiny majority and few allies.

There's stuff-all point in just doing an audit after the build wihtout being involved in the planning and design processes all the way through. It also shows up the sad lack of understanding by disability groups about how to get progress in local government.
A disability advisor for the Christchurch City Council Cam Scott says there are no quick fixes to create universal accessibility and unfortunately that is making some people angry.

Its another shift from universal (under)provision back to 'targetting' and pseudo-markets. Just like the 1990s (surprise). Being the current crop of clowns, that's unlikely to be driven by evidence; more a renewal of Victorian notions of the 'deserving poor'. And political advantage, naturally. At least this term there are more than one strong voice of opposition if they get their acts together.
