There are so many instances of totally incompetent behaviour round RWC spending.
Not any more than you'd expect for the scale of the event and budgets and the number of organisations involved. Unless you have some evidence we haven't seen yet.

One of the questions I struggle to not tell the truth in reply to is, "How are you?" I've learned to say "Fine" largely because my partner is sick of seeing That Expression on the faces of checkout operators.
Still get that one wrong from time to time. Sorry, folks.

The business case would be about the value to NZ of sucking up to whoever the VIPs were. By all means ask to see it and check their assumptions.

The Govt. and Council don't seem to need these things in order to spend
There must have been business cases. You'd expect we will see some review of those now.

Planned to be about $10m apparently. On top of $4.9m to host the Pacific Islands Forum.
That's via John Hartevelt's story asking whether the tournament has been good value.

Encryption will always be an arms race, no matter what technological breakthroughs are made. It's a great pity that such a thing occupies so many of the world's CPU cycles, to be honest - the arms races even eats our processing power.
It's trying to use blunt technology to solve a social/governance problem - trust.

I haven't seen any such 'sneering', so am curious. Inflicting Lhaws on us seems too far to go for one example, however.
