That's a metal. Your schist may be full of gold, but only if you've got a clean slate, and do your deposits in vein.
Watch out or Gerry Brownlee will say "Mine!"

Hard News: The perils of political confidence, in reply to Joe Wylie,
I thought that National campaign ad was hinting I should go green.

McCully’s not in the House, and not a single National speaker has even acknowledged his existence, let alone sought to defend him.
I spotted him down at party central about 2pm surveying his domain and fending off tourists who wanted Ronnie Corbett’s autograph.

Surely the huge crowds on Friday were more to do with the biggest fireworks display ever seen in the country rather than people desperate to see a rugby match on a big screen?
My pick is that the fanzone will be only lightly attended from now on and McCully will blame the council. -

I'm no tax expert but has there been any discussion on an asset tax? A very low tax on all assets of say 0.08% or even less per annum. If you own a million dollars in assets such as property, farm, business, shares, cash, boat, car or painting you would pay $800 tax. Not enough to make it worth avoiding but enough to focus people on making their wealth work.

It's probably been mentioned here before but one of Tower's "Core Values" highlighted on Campbell Live is:
"Empathy in all that we do. We walk in the shoes of our customers and strive to do the right thing by our customers and ourselves."
Hah! Maybe you should ask the boss of Tower to come and take a walk in your muddy gumboots then nudge him into the Avon.

After Hilary Calvert spouted her drivel at the Backbenchers, I wouldn't be surprised if the whole audience didn't end up with E.coli.
Couldn't help wondering if she has modelled her bro-tel on a battery farm. You could almost imagine her chopping off the heads of the bad layers.
