Fare thee well cocknuckle
Oh ffs, dude, I just got 'cocknuckle' into the next edition of Metro. 'Cuntingfuck' is going to be considerably harder work.
Or a netball game? In fact netball is worse, at least in Derby the players wear pads and have some sympathy for the opposition.
I have given up trying to persuade people that netball doesn't consist of well-mannered young ladies decorously freezing because they spend all their time standing perfectly still. My argument is so compelling, etc.

it has a certain wonderful what-the-fuckness about it that I would hate to spoil.
It is kind of... yeah. Wow. Tom, I'd suggest you start making either more sense, or less noise. (Your fingers are typing. You might want to look to that.)
Also the trip back to Women Shouldn't Talk About Rugby Land has been... something.
in a fiercely competitive environment which is the last bastion of the male world where aggression isn't just not frowned upon, it is encouraged. I know in these feminised times we live in...
Tom, have you ever been to a roller derby bout?

All I remember is the hell of caligula, oh yeh and ageing Augustus and Tiberius.
Livia. It was all about Livia, surely. Death couldn't stop her.

Thank you, Ian. I wanted to write something starting with
So. Farewell then,
David Slack.but the two-hour school meeting this morning seems to have frappéd the creative bits of my brain.

Anyone else think that generally females are a bit better at this than men are?
I did notice this difference with the (oh gods, okay, generalisation mine-field ahead, please read tolerantly) working-class guys I knew at high school, but at uni KAOS was (probably disproportionately) full of suave bastards. Like Icehawk. At most parties, somewhere there'd be a room full of people, mostly male, talking at a very high level. Often about completely daft things. Perhaps the alcohol helps.
Talking about feelings, though, maybe that is different.

Me! Me! I love Toblerone! We used to get it but once a year as a massive treat from duty-free on the ferry back from Europe after the family summer holiday. Yum!
Yeah, me too. My oldest brother used to bring it back from England for us when I was a kid.

Oh darling, my mother will be so disappointed. You will be sorely missed.

We used to play a little game on nerd sites where you tried to pick a movie from the quote, and it was worth fewer points the more quotes people needed to get it. So, for instance, you'd start with "Woah", and if nobody got it add "Your other left", then on to "There is no spoon", etc.

But wouldn't publication defeat the point of *any* block?
I'm talking about private commercial web-filtering software like Watchdog, which individuals or businesses are choosing to use. In which case, they can always be circumvented by using another computer, and users will know (if they can be bothered finding out) that a filter considers the AIDS quilt site to be porn, for instance.

I'm with Telstra and I can confirm that I can.
Yeah, the DIA list is checked by human beings, who are able to tell that SOLO isn't porn. "Objectionable content", perhaps, but not porn.
And yes. I'd like to see private companies annually publish all the (non child pornography) sites they block, and the reason.
