Hey Manuka, Kanuka, we have so many , Its all over the place for the wee bees to enjoy. (much honey made up here from our friends, yes I have the mask, I know , I know, I look 21 again. ;))
Leigh, I am not sure which is which, just that we have plenty of both, they are in flower at the mo though.
I should add, we are losing a few to old age but that means much firewood for the future cosy lounge. -

The magic wand up north really is as Islander says, a few beers and ta da! Augers can be hired now too, which can require a few beers also , if you want friends to help operate the dammed thing.Our septic tank was a bit bigger however. That required making use of the already hired digger and eventually if one digs enough holes ,it's er cheap, really it is. ;)

Oh, I’m missing our view up there already, but we have now got another view which is the beginnings of great things. Not quite the Higgs Boson, but we have a direction nonetheless. :)

In the dunes next to the beach moisture from sea spray combined with freezing conditions have created some amazing hoar frost as can be seen on these dead fern leaves:
In the bush next to the shed, the sun shines yet again in the winterless North ;)

Stars overwhelm – when you see them without other light-distraction-remind us of how very small we are (and how tiny our home-)
Heh, I even have star gazing loungers too. They are sun loungers by summer, star gazing by winter. :))

I thought about that being a bit odd at the time but at 100 k , who’s arguing? Anyhow, a few more from the journey.
Up North we have big hills…..and small hills, odd nonetheless.., ooh look ,a pony!
An' we even got snow!
