Having to skip past a hell of a lot…stuff
It's called history. One could say about National, "I remember Muldoon and the damage done." or Richardson. It's history. In the scheme of politics.

I just wonder how long it will take people to realize that a foreign-domiciled capitalist isn’t going to be a better steward of anything because they were born in Auckland rather than Shanghai.
A case of " better the devil you know etc" for many I am sure.

and, as we all know, John Key is comfortable with that...
And that's why he's comfortable with John B. Interesting that since Simon Power has left the Party (and now knowing he squashed the chances for Dotcom to own the Coatsville Chrisco Christmas House) lots of this shit is hitting the fan.
There does seem to be an appearance of this Government sidetracking the unpopular issues with distractions . This is now dragging Williamson into it, so if it was a simple distraction, it is unwise and stupid but dishonesty is. -

You’re probably right, but I wonder if Banks isn’t some kind of peculiarly NZ phenomenon.
Well, I'm sorta right, in that I know lots of people (including family) that do know him . When I had a shop in Parnell, he would get exercise walking the streets around there and offered greetings if one was in his path, thus making himself known. He is a local and as one myself, we get out and about. Still as Sacha said, different parties but they did know each other.
