Hi Lilith. Going to show a couple of examples. These are not brill photos (as is often the case with moi) but the first is an idea of a phoenix hybrid and a Dypsis Baronii Palm and a Nikau all competing for space in our front yard. My how plants can get carried away when one is not looking. {:)

Is that a juvenile black-backed gull?
Umm, probably?A friend was looking at my photos the other day and knowing a bit about gulls he was sure and I would suggest the bird to the fore in JP's is a Skua and the black back might be at the back of the above shot. Is that a yellow beak?

and also the Mayor expressing disgust at what is going on and the damage that is being done to the Auckland (and National) Economy by the behaviour of POAL
Went looking to email him a week ago to do just that. Went around in circles on the Council website and found a few councillors to write to but no way to email Len. One could send an email of complaint but when I tried that it came back with “thanking me for my email but they were unable to read it due to difficulties at present”. That was also a super shitty setup. If you find one for him put it up and I’ll certainly express my feelings.

Yum; dinner at yours tonight?
Sorry Hebe, Alabama 3 are my food tonight. These guys got good reviews at Womad. Look forward to hearing them. That will be food enought for moi! Oh, maybe a glass of wine. Incidently those entrees are so easy to produce, Few jars. I do my own sundried toms but don't always have that so Nosh is luxury or Countdown achieves the same. The Turkish delight etc is by the kilo on Dominion Rd. I still call the place chef co. Not sure if that has changed.
Ok then, so this Paella is from a fisherman friend, Jim. He'll go fishing, then pop over and make dishes like this. Although Robyn says avoid the pots etc. It looked too good stovetop so photos ensued as many friends watched on. He did a chook one as well.
He's coming to Alabama 3 too :)
