Thank you. That means I am getting there huh? It is ridiculous how happy I get when I just know the shot has been achieved. As an aside ,these welcome swallows (named via and because of the PAS crew) are so fast it feels like it is very difficult to catch them in flight so that shot was special for me. :))

And our rates go up, along with the advice it will soon be a luxury to own a dog and if one can't afford house and dog rego increases one instantly becomes a criminal,
as one bright lady on C live last night said. Hulse last night says dog regos collect $7 ,000,000.00 They need $12,000,000.00 so increase dog rego 3 fold and voila.
When asked what it covered , we pay for complaints about our dogs, we pay for impounding dogs(another fee to get them back), dog officers (how many?) and apparently lots of other people to do paperwork. The park needs a rubbish bin too. C Live did a quick calculation when Hulse said they will only collect $2,000,000.00 extra , hello, they will make $5,000,000.00. She says we need to pay with comparative highest fees in the country. That's the reason! Welcome to the Supershitty and remember $500 squillion for a fucking computer. Wonder how Rodney feels about the working dogs increased fees. Rodney, who wanted no part in Supershitty.
Our rates or our dogs, we get to pay twice again. I'm sorry but a small fee for owning a cat .......

It interests me not just a little bit how images can carry more significance and power than words sometimes,

Plus I find my new interest in wildlife says words that don't exist to me .
This shot I took yesterday made me think of Islander immediately. Her love of birdlife and my desire to see an interaction from them relatable to human interaction, which is,
one is stuck on the ground while the other flies high. The glance up is my moment of satisfaction. Shot grabbed
    OITJM :)

    I don’t like most eq-representation art but that’s good.

It is a piece at least 6 years old. Cant remember when I took that photo, but I took this in it's new home today.. The cracks represent a number of things for me.

  • Capture: EQNZ Remembrance,

Great work Gudren. A picture definitely says a thousand words eh?
I would rather you take my photo than that cop doing it ;)
The woman next to Parkup is his deputy isn't it?. She would speak to media last year when Parkup wasn't available.
Interesting how everyone that caught your camera eye looks decidedly uneasy. And the clergy by gods! Nice

Just putting that out there in case it’s helpful for others.

So with that, todays photo is a piece by Philippa Blair. It is in book format albeit canvas pages and is another large piece, and was in a friends collection. :)

who piped their artesian well out to the street. And a million other big and small acts: the farmers who left some sacks of Agria spuds out on the street corner.

This, no matter how long after one hears this. (sniff :)

The ‘awards’ are like ‘honours’ – who knows you & who you know. I deeply distrust & oppose both-As for uniforms – they – mainly (with some stunning failures) did the job they are both trained & paid for, and that’s good – but they are sooo photogenic eh?And pollies especially lurve being associated with that stuff-

It's almost cliche huh? Almost insulting. I'm glad you said this Islander because I avoided the news when the very first 5 seconds made me know to.
Gudren's photos are excellent but I still feel queasy seeing the likes of Bob Parker on a stage and maybe that's what makes it a a good photo. However, some may like it and each to their own, but I'm with Islander and Just thinking on this.
