Whilst on the water yesterday I felt lucky enough to spot this gull. A beauty!

    not sure about Sofie’s

Upon amateur investigation, closest I can compare it to is the White Tailed Spider. It was a biggy. Glad it was in the workshop up north where it could be escorted outside
Julie, I live in Auckland but also share a place up north with cows over the back fence. The paddocks with welcome swallows are in Ponsonby, a special spot not well known. My friends place looks out onto the paddocks. It's all good, and so is sharing all the photos. :)

How about something less loveable? Spotted on a rock in the Otaki River.

    Beautiful!
I spotted this one on a wall inside the workshop.

I'm never good with the death of others. Rats and mice, I am happy to berid but I can't do it myself and I still feel sorry for the buggers. I like your empathy Julie. Your photos are very cool. I am also doing a cow study. :)

thanks, but I have to admit my ‘face painted’ image was appropriated (for satirical collage purposes) from the cover of Avenues magazine

Well then you found it and in this case, it was most appropriate.;)
Here is an example of one artists impression of their elected officials, on the side of the road.

  • Hard News: Nobody wanted #EQNZ for Christmas, in reply to Hebe,

Watching Parliament this week Gerry looked relaxed and Lianne looked like she had lost hair.
I see it as (because Gerry is in charge) there were many things like deadlines that were not necessary for everyone, and he could have been more considerate and informative. I see Lianne should be in the face of what are the problems and be all over it possibly positioning herself to try do better if wanted because of all the difficulties you guys have faced from day one when she was amongst freaking out also.I see she is complaining in Parliament on behalf of all the people and if that is politiking, and unwanted ,then who are you going to call? If nothing else she is earning her paycheck. Do you trust Parker ,do you trust this government. Beck asked for peoples faith. People listened because he went out and helped the helpless and even I learnt who he was and the people voted. That is great . He seems genuine. But come next election, will he be politiking or positioning himself for Mayor or not ?
Whatever it is I would still expect Lianne Dalziel to earn her paycheck. That is her job.
Not wanting to push frayed buttons Hebe, just cant trust any word that comes out of Brownlees mouth/mayaswellbe arse. :)

“What have you got there?”“Pies, c*nt.”

Joe Wylie and Ian Dalziel, your artistic interpretations of Bobsy Browneye are brilliant. More I say,

Regrettably and for the first time ever I agree with Gerry.

Can't he just do his own job instead of bullying anyone who disagrees with him which I read is one helluva lot of people and can't Lianne be expressing what people are emailing, writing letters and telling her from their personal experiences? Or am I the one with the hole in my head and is the recovery going just dandy and everyone gets an ice cream?
    Yours
