If you're wanting to read some established work debunking common denier myths, i.e. the sort Hide trotted out, I can heartily recommend Skeptical Science.
They talk on the Climate Show when the guys get it together to podcast.

Hard News: Friday Music: Punk rock and…, in reply to Christopher Dempsey,
actually... i tried to imagine myself off-guts at margarita bar in 1996, and that song easily could have popped into a playlist without my noticing.
perhaps just after wonderwall, or "me so horny".

Legal Beagle: Think it possible that you…, in reply to Stephen Judd,
Prized highly enough to preserve it in this case? Nope, not going to the barricades for this one.
me neither.
what we have in this case is advertisers choosing to not have their products, their business, and their reputations associated with rape apologists.
personally i see that as "the free market in operation", and not as "interference with editorial integrity".

oh, and for the record. am on record thinking that radio nz did exactly the right thing.
if jt and willie wanted to make a positive contribution to this debate, they should have just STFU and let smart people do it.
free speak != saying any damn stupid thing that comes out of your half-baked mind. it means not getting jailed for speaking truth to power.

Legal Beagle: Think it possible that you…, in reply to giovanni tiso,
I could revise downwards once somebody explains to me what it was even supposed to mean.
traditionally it means 'unhappy middle aged woman, especially with drinking problem".
i've always associated it with the concomitant down-turned mouth.
make of that what you will.

1986: dire straits at western springs. caught the bus up from the mount with a mate from school.
i remember security looking suspiciously at my carry-all, and how disappointed they were to see it filled with a packed lunch.
the first low-down and dirty gig must have been the Fits at a non-defunct upstairs bar on taranaki st, 1991 - unless you could seeing forgettable bands at the mount soundshell... (or pseudo-echo in 1987 (?) at the QE2 centre in tauranga).
