A left winger in a room full of right winger, well at least the wine is good and everyone seems happy that NZ Firts is slowly trending down!

Telecom isn't responsible for the actions of people who make obscene phone calls, or who make extortion demands by phone. Vodafone isn't responsible for the actions of users who send threatening text messages.
Actually Matthew there is a parrallel here, I am certain that Telecom would be responsive to complaints of obscene phone calls and the cellphone operators are moving to curtail schoolyard bullying. Vodafone for one will:
...warn the bully, stopping texting from their account, temporarily barring their account or even permanently deactivating their account from our network
And Telstra is setting up systems for their ISP services

A group of Good People (TM) in Wellington have been working on a project called Freethenet. The idea is to provide free wireless round the city by using spare capacity that many of us have paid for but don't use. The idea is that it will help stimulate the view of the city as a go-ahaead savvy community.
Likewise:
And other sharing schemes

Well, neither of those things are services
Maybe they should employ a team to run around the suburbs removing TV aerials from the houses of people they suspect of using video recorders?

Russell’s original comment that ISP’s shouldn’t cut connections because a mother might be penalised due to the actions of her son makes no sense, it likes saying that if the same son went out and used his mothers
Perhaps, but what of the situation mentioned above of people hacking your improperly secured WiFi network... not as easy to do as say for some routers!
However thinking off on a tangent; could this be used against people/companies that place spyware on my system and 'take' my 'content' or monitor my use?
Thought not... bugger!

It's more commonly just used to refer to a greasy mark on the inside of your right calf ... though I've seen a few inked on permanently as well.
That is why I went for a 1970s Raleigh chainwheel on my right ankle... an 'in' cycling joke, and a hark back to my first 10-speed

Possibly a case of sustained substance use/abuse coming home to roost?
I can blaim a number of my failings on that... but name and face recognition is not one of them... I have always been crap at it. In fact I suspect I am getting slightly better as I get older.

That should read...
