  • David Haywood,

Perhaps I should point out that you can pre-order a copy (or copies) of Emma's book via the PA Books website...

    www.publicaddressbooks.com

... and then scroll down until you see Emma's cover.

You can also view the table of contents and first chapter by clicking on 'Read more' and then the 'Click to see inside' button.

I can testify that it's a pretty compelling read...

And BTW the first edition will be quite limited -- so if you want one, get in quick!

  • Emma Hart,

and then scroll down until you see Emma's cover

And if you scroll down a bit further, you can also pre-order The Reserve Bank Annual, which I heartily recommend, especially if your mental state has been a bit boringly level lately.

  • Lara,

Thrilled that you're getting better. Best wishes for the rest of your recovery!

  • Bart Janssen,

Just great to hear that you have recovered so well.

And simply wonderful to hear that you have your sight improved.

And also great to hear that

yesterday I bought shoes and they were pretty

and you know that we need to see the pictures :).

I can't really explain why but it makes me very happy to hear that a person I know only virtually is feeling much better.

  • Bart Janssen,

But can you play the violin?
You know, I haven't tested that. So I bet I can.

And so long as you don't try, you will be right.

One question - I can usually figure out what the title refers to but I'm being dense today, could you give me a clue, because I don't seem to have one?

Hah, I cunningly tricked you by not using a cultural reference or three layers of meaning. It's just that all through my rehab people kept saying, "Well, you're looking better," and I'd think, "Holy shit, better than WHAT?"

We should have taken photos, really, especially of my arm, that was spectacular.

Right thanx but now can you explain the PAMJ? Is this code or am I thick? :)

Public Address Medical Journal. It's a subcultural reference, so don't worry too much. I got it immediately, but that's because I read a lot of academic public-health literature.

  • Bart Janssen,

    PAMJ - Doh!

I did figure it wasn't the Pan African Medical Journal

You must be feeling better to be fiendish enough to use a simple direct reference to confuse me :P
