OOOooo so Glenn(thanx KR) are you one of the advertising peeps responsible for Nationals campaign? And within the narrow confines in which you operate those campaigns are considered "legal".
Yeah I put that in scare quotes because while they may not actually break laws they are morally repugnant. Not that you would know how to gauge that because you most likely have a shit moral compass when it comes to what you do for a living.
A quick rule of thumb if you have to run it by the legal department its a piece of crap.Tell that to the rest of those preening nincompoops wouldya. -

The Business Herald understands that a key creative talent for the Nats is Glenn Jameson, a creative director at the freelance advertising bureau The Pond, and who has an impressive CV working in New Zealand, the UK and the US.
Jameson did not return calls and The Pond office referred Business Herald queries to Joyce.
Jameson says on the Pond website that he has had stints at Draft FCB, DDB and most recently as creative director at Republik.
He says in his profile that his talent is to "find truth in bullshit".
Jameson loves philosophy and appears to be attracted to the Right.
He is is an admirer of the individualist writer Ayn Rand.
His loves include his children "and me".
He advises prospective clients to read Rand's The Virtue of Selfishness " and you'll love Me too".

I'm sure you're an accomplished TVC director Glenn, but you give the impression that you've had a few too many and stumbled into the wrong room. It's an easy mistake to make... you hung a left when you should have kept to the right.
If you're looking for the Young Nats, they're in the Perigo suite down in the basement. That's where you'll feel more comfortable, surrounded by like-minded people for whom morals are optional and ethics take a back seat to self-interest and greed.
Most libertarians tend to ignore the fact that their hero Ayn (government handouts are "immoral") Rand, actually spent her latter years on a government benefit. Not many people know that.

It’s there in Rand’s own (en)title(ment): grabbing what you can for yourself is a “virtue”, and so handouts are apparently “immoral” only for the government to provide, not for you to take. Not hypocritical at all, oh no; merely fundamentally wrong about the relationship between society and individual.

I think only putting Jacinda up on the ads played against Labour - at least it did locally, for me, in my Auckland Central electorate.
Last time I gritted my teeth and voted for Ardern, as she actually had a shot at unseating that horrible National MP (first and only time I've ever voted for a Labour anything).
But when it came time to vote this election, I honestly hadn't even heard of the Labour candidate before, figured she had no chance, so voted Green instead.
Silly me - while it's not exactly Epsom, the Labour candidate (whoever she was) actually got close to the Nat.

National minority, NZF for C&S.
Labour - Green - NZF coalition.
Labour - Green coalition, NZF for C&S.
Labour - NZF coalition, Green for C&S.National - Green coalition.
National minority, Labour for C&S.
National minority, Green for C&S.
Labour minority, Green - NZF for C&S.Or, I guess, a few with NZF or Greens abstaining on C&S for National minority. Or, Labour - NZF getting ahead of National for Greens to abstain on C&S.
Lots of minority government positions possible. Only ones seem impossible are National - Green, and of course National - Labour because it makes people vote for Nazis or something.
