  • Bart Janssen,

And from that link a blog that gets food bloggers to try unusual combinations from the software described above. Some of the results sound interesting like banana and parsley bread some sound more ... well ... challenging Mocha tofu mouse with roasted garlic?

  • Bart Janssen,

Ok and here is the foodpairing website itself and they have an app! And if you wanted to take part in the foodpairing challenge on TRGWT here is the latest, all about raisins.

  • Amy Gale,

When are Cicer arietinum chic and when are they bourgeois? Is it all about the recipe?

  • Steve Barnes, in reply to Amy Gale,

Very good question Amy. In all my years of studying Legumes I have come to the conclusion that Cicer arietinum are chic in the early summer, around lunchtime, and generally considered passé at almost any other time, They can be regarded as bourgeois when eaten anywhere in Ponsonby.

They may or may-not be bourgeois at various times or situations, but they are always chic....

Apparently humans have been cultivating them for at least 7500 years!

Once they start to resemble natto, they're almost certainly passé.

Camp coffee. The simplest model kicked the shit out of the much more complicated one. You can probably see why in the second pic.

This took about 2 minutes to make with a pocket knife and a used coke can. The far more complex one is in the background, took about 10 minutes using scissors and a hole punch. The coffee took about 10 mins on the electric element, about 5 mins on the "improved" coke can stove, and about 150 seconds on the simple can. Chimney effect FTW.
