Judge David Harvey surrendered his role in the case after making comments during a copyright discussion at an internet conference.
I don't like the look of this, I can't see Judge Harvey waking up in the morning and saying "I shouldn't have said that, I will stand down"
Considering he was considered the right gut for the job...An internet law expert, Judge Harvey had been considered the perfect choice to hear arguments on whether Dotcom and his Megaupload colleagues should be extradited by the United States
Did he jump or was he pushed?.

Difficult to know. It may just be a tale of caution about posting Twitter messages in the public domain, or it could be a story about unusual political pressure, Whatever the reasons, it is a loss for a very important legal case. Judge Harvey is one smart manl

The sole reason may be that with any judgment the judge doesn't want to propvide grounds for the the FBI?NZ Police/Act National Maori Party coalitions govt a grounds to appeal on the basis of slightest perception of bias.
