  • bob daktari,

Looking forward to BDO @ The Springs - please no more tired been here before wrestling the last vestige of credibility and cash from a career acts... and hopefully not a huge jump in price

Now with that said and whilst I eat my hat here's Bryan Ferry (ha).... touched by the hand of Terje from a just released EP of remixes of Don't Stop the Dance - worth the price for this and the Greg Wilson revisits alone (beatport http://www.beatport.com/release/dont-stop-the-dance/1119233 )

Wouldn't Terje playing records or them digital file thingys at a small(ish) outdoor stage near water be a magic thing....

  • Tom Semmens,

Get high and go to MOTAT!

How will the BDO get on for noise I wonder? I hear that angry NIMBYs have already served the lions at the zoo with 23,987 abatement notices.

  • Chip Matthews,

S/O to Parksie and Ladi for the coup of getting Wajeed on board, too. And this being the first Jeedo beat released from the album, man, so exciting.

They should require them to hand deliver the notices.

  • Richard Grevers,

Stages look to have similar relationships and spread as the 6 WOMAD ones (3 used at a time), although the two smaller ones are a little more pointed-at-each-other than any of the brooklands ones. At WOMAD the only real interference I've noticed was once, with wind carry of sound from a particularly loud band on the Brooklands stage to a quiet act on the Gables stage.

If you go to the lake stage at BDO, get near the front!

  • Kyle Matthews,

Speaking of 15 year old bedroom producers in Dunedin, my son put his first effort up on soundcloud over the weekend:

He's still working on the second half, but we're full of pride down here :)

  • Ian Dalziel,

    not stainless...

Gary Steel really is writing some good stuff on Audioculture. His Chris Knox entry sets a standard.

I still haven't forgiven Gary for his crap review of a Toy Love gig in wellington - Mate, if ya don't like crowds - don't go to gigs!
He never seems to mention his In Touch magazine either...
