Bzzz! The original, for the temporary licences, was actually 950 AM. Debbi chose the 95 FM frequency to echo that.
But I literally only know that because I wrote a history of it all.

Flying Nun's sole No 1 was Headless Chicken's wasn't it? And it was "George" not "Cruise Control". I have a weird memory of "Boodle Boodle Boodle", although it was an EP, somehow being anointed top of the charts back in 1982 or whenever the hell it was. That might be the brain plaque talking but it feeeels correct.
On a different note ......
I'm afraid my Yoruba is a touch rusty but apparently the object of the titular demand is Boko Haram. And that is Eno Williams, easily the best dressed woman in England.

Baysting exiled himself to the other side of the Tasman for a few years, only coming back after the whole affair was quietly forgotten about. I suspect the original recording with the profanity on it got wiped and reused, since VCRs probably weren't yet widely available in NZ. From this Billboard article, VCR penetration in NZ was ~10,000 in early 1982.

I know it's singularly graceless to mention - but there are at least 30 FN songs (including Cruise Control) that would come before George on a 'mostly likely to be a hit' list.
