Capture by A photoblog

Nice to be here Jac, an aged fungi to add to the photo pile

A couple from Monday’s outbreak of good weather. From atop Makara Peak, in several directions the mountains of the upper South Island (I chose the more southerly), and in the other it seems Kāpiti Island is poking its head up over the horizon.

On the way to work on Monday morning

Another urban image. At the door of the Ponsonby Countdown that opened today. Such a Ponsonby image, even unto the Hummer parked on a yellow line.

Rainbow at the lights. Of no merit apart from the pleasure of having a phone to take a photo through a damp windscreen while waiting.

Light hearted image…

Of no merit …

I beg to differ,
that is a fine photonic confluence.
Bifrost bisects the posts
with a thaw in the air
at a ruddy red light!
;- )

Bird on a wire, with his back turned to the view. Faintly in the distance the Kaikoura Ranges... Inland, I think.

A 15 sec exposure out our front door last night. Stars were surprisingly clear for the inner city.

Dusk at Point Chevalier beach.

A little frosty this morning.

Frosty sea.

Dark one

Piha on QBW Monday was as busy as any day in summer. I even went for a paddle, but then decided to get the camera out instead.

I'm in the middle of your picture
Lying in the reeds

Lying in the reeds

Envious of your pukeko picture! Here is a spoonbill.

You never know what you might find in the shrubbery. Can you see what's in this picture, gentle readers?

Looks like a good pozzie.

Can you see what’s in this picture

ahah! It is one of the 'self anointed'
sleeping with Winston Peters' scalp...
(others may see different things)

Cloud surfing.

Ventured to Devonport on a boat even.

3 babies! Not very pleased to be peered at.
