    Barbed Wire, Love?

Just to kick it off with a royal flavour.

You beat me to that with seconds to spare…… : )

Love the silos painted - they look like giant rolls of carpet.

Great stuff. And what a labour! Thanks for capturing it. :-)

  • ChrisW,

    Spectacular art.

Set up shot with sea gull.

Photography not bad either, especially that one. But what do you mean, set up shot? The gull was only a sruggling actor trying to extend its wing while perched on a lamp-post?

  • ChrisW,

And I'm waiting for the last stanza of CK Stead's poem -

    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . This is the life that goes
    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . godlessly on
    a poem without words
    a gift without conditions
    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . a present
    without a past.

Where I have to insert strings of dots to approximate his formatting, but instead the silo version would be GODLESSLY ON (etc) only bigger?

  • JacksonP, in reply to ChrisW,

But what do you mean, set up shot?

I waited for quite a while for the damn seagulls to behave. Threw bread at them; made silly noises; nearly got run over by a car; but every time they came past I’d just got tired of holding down the focus button and missed them!

We suffer for our art. But not much. ;-)

I’ll post some of the bloopers later maybe.

ETA: The rest is round the corner. I'll add more to the post as soon as I can get back there. Was in shadow yesterday.

Excellent photos, all of them, I dont do favourites very well but I was impressed with Cut Collective’s intro they put up at the OGB. So here is a photo taken from their film.
Joff, it’d be really cool to see more Melbourne stuff. Please.

Fantastic stuff Joff. Would be great if you want to share more here. I clicked through and went 'WOAH!', but others may not make the effort.

(Which is my way of saying, you totally should).

Thanks. Melbourne is utterly rife with mindblowing Street Art. It's pretty much everywhere.

This is another one of my faves.

OK I had a wander in the Re-Start Mall. I'm not sure if this is art, or advertising, or some hybrid beast. It's kinda cool.

This billboard painting is a work in progress.

You can see what a gaping hole it fails to cover.

In keeping with the frontier-town aesthetic, here are some banks. Such as they are, so tidy and neat.
