Just as a not unrelated aside, is there any band/artist with any kind of longevity whose later stuff was better than their earlier stuff?

I'm not trying to deny that there is harassment of asian students out there, just pointing out that a portion of that harassment was going to happen to someone.
If there weren't asian students for those dumbasses to harass, they'd be harassing maoris, or surfers, or punks, or old ladies, or young women, or hippies, or greenies, or gingers, or anyone else they could stick a label on.
Because it happens to asians its racism, but what it really is, is ingrained dumbassness. -
using a little ball of burning cotton on a long stick to singe away those pesky ear hairs. Sounds frightening, looked dramatic, but really cool!
Wouldn't want to volunteer for the apprentices to practise on!

I've always avoided that place, for 3 reasons:
1) No hair no more :-)
2) The mrs took the kids there, and they got some awful trims.
3) Most importantly, the name offends my sense of English language pedantry. There's no sharing happening there, either call it a shearing shed, or sod off. -
OTOH, you don't have to be visibly foreign to be abused by idiots in cars - you just need to be different; fat, ginger, short, whatever, there's a breed of dork that feels the need to point it out loudly as they pass.

I used to go to the Barber's Club in town, $15 for a clipper cut, shampoo to get the itchy bits out, chat about stock cars & rugby & manly stuff, and a glass of OJ (I don't drink coffee, otherwise ot would have been an espresso). Can't top that for value - except once I stopped working in town its too much hassle to drive in & find a park etc.
Now I use the same method as Michael, give it a buzz at home. -
