I almost totally agree with Steven on this but would like to add a few points.
The data cap question, decoupling the data cap from the speed may make sense for some but not most. Once you start downloading hi def video in real time (streaming) you are going to blow that cap in no time high definition video requires 19.8 Mbps according to Intel and I guess they should know. I personally think that Hi Def video would be the limit of reasonable use with current technology when matter transfer becomes a reality we may need more ;-)
So to answer Paul's question I would say everybody would be happy with a 50Mbps down 10 up for domestic and 50 up for media business. I say 50Mbps for the reason that, as we all know, these things never deliver the speed they say they will. Fluctuating contention ratios will knock your 50Meg connection back to 20meg going by current C/R so to have uninterrupted video would require a 50Mbps connection. -
How about a hoodie and have him pictured tagging Clarks office. ;-)

I'd like to be thinking about Rikki Tikki Tavi but some images are just too hard to shift. I still feel uncomfortable around grown men in shorts. Why the hell did I come to New Zealand? I can't even watch the Rugby.

Or is that just modern paranoia?
Back in those days, the fifties, people like peadophiles were regarded as just another aspect of society. I'm not saying it was encoraged but as kids we were told not to accept sweets from people and that was it. Society back then was far more repressed and anything that was regarded as"Naughty" or "Ungodly" was denied, swept under the carpet or just plain ignored in most cases, hell, when my parents parted and my Mother remarried we had to leave town for fear of gossip.
In some ways I think it was better that way, at least we could have male teachers not living in fear of false accusations and the resultant wrecking of life and career. I think Peter Ellis would agree. -
I just re read that after posting, hmmm typos. Something happened to my Rs.

I joined the Cubs when I was about seven years old if I remember correctly. They introduced me to Kipling and the Jungle Book, our leaders were a Wolf (Akela), a Bear (Barloo) and some sort of mutant snake eater who's name escapes me right now. I'm not sure we learned much but I made some good friends and got a few badges. One of the badges I became the proud recipient of was the cycling badge. The test for this particular badge was simplicity itself. We had to go to the house of a Mr. Hodges, who rode a bike. We used to see this old chap around the parks and playgrounds talking to other kids about bikes and associated topics and giving tips on such stuff as saddle adjustment. Anyway, I digress. To achieve the status of cyclist badge honour you were required to visit the old chap at his house, on arrival his wife would put on her coat and inform her husband that she was off down the shops. Oh how the time sped by as he recounted tales of cycling in wales or North Cornwall whilst constantly adjusting the crotch of his shorts and helping you to find places on large maps laid out on the floor of his living room by holding you hand and leaning gently against you buttocks. After a short spell of bicycle seat adjustment lessons the badge was yours to display proudly on you uniform.
Ahh. those were the days. sadly I think in these paranoid times Mr. Hodges would find it rather difficult to serve the community in this way. -
Any band today needs;
a youtube channel
a myspace page
a facebook page (for gig invites etc)
a Last Fm account
A flckr account (so you can upload flyers to create links to)
....a DATABASE!!!!.... to get emails off people at gigs etc. This is the most valuable piece of marketing any band can have these days.I see no mention of talent or passion there..
Being an artist of any description is about expressing yourself, getting your vision across. Of course, you have to have a vision that others can relate to to be "successful" ie.. popular.
If all the vision you have is "I want to be a famous Rock Star" then who else would give a toss other than your Mum and maybe a few mates?
It's bad enough having corporate sponsored bands, Lion Red Rockabilly Rustlers or Double Brown Dubsters anyone? but State Sponsored Singers of Songs? give us a break.
If you want to be in a band good on ya, go out and play, have fun and hope enough people enjoy your shows so you can do it for a living.
As for making videos, I listen to music, I don't watch it. Like do you actually go to see a band or do you go along and listen with others and enjoy the atmosphere conjured up by the music?Whatever, socially maladjusted people who seek adoration and believe they deserve it as a right can always go on a sickness benefit ;-)

Just checking to see if you were awake Craig. I knew it was Eisenhower all along. No I did really.....honest....did did did did did.
I think I should go into Politics ;-) -
Nope. The 22nd amendment only applies to the president.
So, should we all start worrying?
The Democrat's have effectively divided their supporters, I have heard so many times "if Hillary wins I won't vote for her" and vice versa so a Republican in the white house looks likely. god help us all if McCain becomes President and has that whole dark backroom full of warmongers behind him. Doesn't anyone in the states remember Roosevelt's warning about the Military Industrial Complex? -
Saw McCain on Telly last night. He doesn't look well. Being a POW & 74yrs old I'm concerned as to whom his running mate may be.
Cheney? Rumplesveld? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGGGGG NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
On a serious note, is there a limit to the number of terms a vice pres can run?
