Stu Wilson is a national bloody embarrasment. I spent several weeks during the last Lions tour in an Auckland motel (working out in Smales Farm) explaining to visitors to our fair shores that, yes, I though Wilson was a rude, obnoxious, xenophobic twat, much as they did, and agreeing that New Zealand's image amongst our rugby-related visitors would improve signifcantly if he fell off a cliff.

S'funny, it seemed to me that Brian made a damned good point about the rather strange direction that this thread's taken.
Masterful bit of derailment by Craig at the start - chuck a bit of beneficiary bashing in at the start, off the discussion goes at a tangent.
Interesting to see the claims of threats against the various investigating teams; wonder if they'll be substantiated.

Can someone who has Juha's contact details please let him know Craig appears to have gained access to his PublicAddress account?

This all to do with payback, no two ways about it.
Perhaps; if so it's unfortunate that there are so many odious people happy to throw shit at someone's hitherto largely anonymous children to get back at them.

The Herald's website reports this morning that a rugby player named Chris Jack and his wife have just had their first baby.
That's far more fluffy news than Millie Elder being in court,
"All Black places wife, child ahead of rugby" is, I would submit, still bigger news than you might like to believe in New Zealand. One need only look at the coverage is decision to pass up playing in this week's test recieved.

Now here's an example of losing control of the interview.
(May be NSFW if the phrase "sexual yeti" would get you fired...)

Wierd. SPARC would tell you I'm completely inactive or other because I do a martial art. Never mind that it's an Olympic sport, as well.

I might add that for both the US and Vietnam I had to get a special journalist's visa. For Vietnam, that was the end of the matter; for the US it became part of the problem on entry, when the dolt on the desk refused to accept that a journalist could actually be going to a conference. Weird.
There was an old PJ O'Rourke column where he hammed up his surprise at a Vietnamese minister lecturing him about the virtues of capitalist development being allowed in Vietnam (a communist! lecuring me! a Republican! about the virtues of capitalism!); sadly O'Rourke has ambled enough to the my-party-right-or-wrong line of thinking that it's unlikely he'll be doing a followup where a Vietnamese minister lectures him on the virtues of freedom of travel.

I am simply amused at the idea it's treachery to sail for a bunch of Europeans and patriotism to sail for a bunch of Arabs.
It's not a national sport, people! Go support Olympic yachters if you want your groupthink fix!

The Herald - and its Sunday tabloid - might want to be the first in line for some quiet self-reflection
"Labour endorses child molesting!" for example.
