I cannot see how John Key can knit a pretty wide range of ideologies into a cohesive body, unless he employs Helen to negotiate for him.
9 years have been Golden Years. Thankyou heaps Helen. -

Sacha:Tussock, given the secret taping and all, I suspect tv3 have a fair bit of arse-kissing to make up..
It just might be that "they" knew that it might hurt Labour more than National?????

Craig:So far the problem doesn't seem to exist. If the line by line post election check showed multiple voting then the police get involved but it is rare in NZ. They go back to the real person and check what he voted. Then erase the other person who fraudulently voted in someone else's name. Occasionally they do catch out a multiple voter but until its a problem, costs are kept low. Remember that the little black sticker over your number, is removed after the election and each vote is checked against each name. Pity they wouldn't do something like that with the phoney phone-in polls.

Voted in sunny Bleheim.
I was a queue of one but I did ask politely if it was alright to queue in the doorway.
They said that it was very busy up until 2pm compared to 2005. -
Steve: That is very funny! And your reply hilarious. Wish I could think that quickly on my feet, or hands for that matter.

Hey. I am surprised that the Herald did not publish an instruction for one party or the other to vote tomorrow to relieve congestion. Don't know which party would be the target for that. :)
-
Sofie: All party signs must be excluded. It would be a bit intimidating to be confronted by rosettes. There should be a phone number for a Controlling Returning Officer to check. Once I took exception to Geof Thompson National Horowhenua, sweeping into our Polling Booth and making loud anti-labour remarks across the booth. But he didn't stay very long so hard to deal with verbals.

Hilary: Oliver is a great interviewer isn't he? Just watched him with Winston and it was very well done too except the Part 1 wouldn't run.

Not sure of the Science but it is said that Labour Governments have introduced change especially including social policies but National Governments seldom do. They consolidate and maintain the status quo. Not sure this next time though.
The Morgan Poll reflects what Helen believes and NZF apparently on 4.5% could upset with another .5 votes. Think of what that would do to the National position!!!!
