If we followed the Koran charging and therefore profiting or losing from interest would not happen. I think so anyway?

Just in case: cow pats fresh from a cow are about 2 degrees warmer that your blood temp. But very quickly they loose heat and 20 minutes later you loose on the deal, unless you want the job of warming cow-pats with your feet?

  • Random Play: The Key’s under the Matt,

The wisdom in revisiting pre -election promises on blogs is in a sharpening of awareness and a reminder of what should be, if promises are kept. I wonder if the rise and rise of partisan blogs, and those more neutral, will have a significant effect in this age more than ever before. It seems by contrast in years past, we forgot what had been promised. Therefore the persistence of blogs such as the Standard might prove valuable.

  • Hard News: The smart thing to do,

Some argue that both sides of the argument about Climate Change should be explored. That they say, means getting two even teams to the debate. This is daft of course as the those who deny Climate Change number a few hundred scientists + Ian Wishart and Rodney Hide, whereas those pro Climate Change number an estimated 300,000+ scientists. • Hard News: The smart thing to do,

The history of previous Ministers outside Cabinet seems to be, according to opinions last night on Maori TV, a long list of ideas that foundered on the way through the system to cabinet and were neutred.
However the jubilance of Act and Maori now seems to be over the belief that they have been given the power to "make a real difference." Has Rodney been given real power to do more than float a Bill or two?

  • Hard News: Pomp and Circumstance,

    Mr Speaker:
When my youngest son was 5 we had a tour through Parliament. He asked the guide which was the seat of the most important person. She said The Speaker was the top man.
"Right!" 5 year-old said. "That's what I am going to get."
We all laughed but now he is just completing his degree in Political Science and not so funny given John Key's aim as a kid to be PM so.....

  • Hard News: Pomp and Circumstance,

I would think that in general terms the truth or not of people causing Global warming would be overshadowed by the action to make the planet more sustainable and a nicer place to be in/on. Let's clean up the act (Act) anyway.
