Fly spray
“The Government has received advice from police that household chemicals, including fly spray have been used in the production of synthetics.” No, it hasn’t. When you make an unhelpful blurt, just correct it rather than doubling down.
This myth was going around in sept 2017 - but was denied then as well.
https://interactives.stuff.co.nz/2017/09/killer-chemicals/index.htmlWord on the street that is that all sorts of things are being used - a theory fuelled by police who claim "intelligence" shows weed killer, fly spray and even rat poison is being added to the mix.
That appears to be urban myth - Walsh says that on rare occasions they've detected insecticides but not in doses strong enough to be fatal. -
Luckily we all have Bob McCoskrie to put us right with his 'exhaustive investigation' into the failure of legalising cannabis in Colorado...
https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/health/108570147/legalised-dope-is-a-licence-for-big-marijuana-to-exploit-young-peopleThis story was 'promoted on Stuff as "OPINION: Legalised dope is not working in Colorado, and it won't work in NZ." - no where does he actually show how it is 'not working' - quelle surprise!

One does hope that under KiwiBuild that the Government ensures all compliance is met at every step of the way – The developers get the assurance of guaranteed sales while the public can be assured there will be no shonky corners cut.
Having said that I did get to visit the Takanini site a coupla weeks back (the day before the PM welcomed the first ballot winners to their new house – you know the ones Judith Collins saw fit to abuse on line) – I saw the new Coronation Street, terraces with no on-street/lane parking for visitors in the part I was in, the scale felt a tad off human, and on an old military base site I assume judging by street names (at least it wasn’t productive growing soil being built over).

I’m surprised you haven’t accused me of weaponising comas.
Surely 'comas' would be 'sleeper agents'
or perhaps more 'cometary' than 'commentary'...?

...and then there is that other gender champion Karl du Fresne on his epic quest to turn 'role modelling' into 'virtue-signalling'...

Didn't stop Gerry Brownlee accompanying Trevor Mallard to Japan to watch the rugby!
I guess what better place for ex-Ministers of Rugby World Cups and Earthquakes... -
....and perhaps, later on, some Fox News for the lols.
That's one sick comedy channel!...and very bitter and hollow laughs
- let's not forget they had the last 'laugh' last election! -

Holy Helvetica.
and other Grotesk Gods!
<aside>: I was born the same year as Neue Haas Grotesk ('57), it became Helvetica in 1960.

Just wondering - does anyone out there have a copy of the Penguin edition of John Dix's 'Stranded in Paradise' that they want to sell - or seen a copy for sale in a bookstore (or anywhere) recently?
Trying to track one down for a recent US convert to NZ music who is putting a radio show together.
Did John do the small reprint he was talking about a while ago (to replenish the library service) ?
- John are you out there? I don't seem to have a contact email. -
