Simon Power is a twatcock
I knew he was a head of wet spackle or something like that…
Simon Power was appointed General Manager, Consumer Banking & Wealth in May 2015. The business unit incorporates Westpac’s retail network, together with small business and the Private Wealth Management division.
Prior to his current appointment he held the roles of General Manager, Business Bank, Private Bank, Wealth & Insurance; Managing Director, Private, Wealth & Insurance and before that, Head of Private Bank for Westpac New Zealand Limited.
Simon joined Westpac in 2012 following a 12 year career as a Member of Parliament in New Zealand. Between 2008–2011 he served as Minister of Justice, Minister of Commerce and Minister of State Owned Enterprises, among other portfolios.
During that period he led significant reform and change in financial market oversight and regulation in NZHasn’t he done well…

bouncing checkpointless...
Hmmm - I don't get it really.
At the base and heart there is Checkpoint the radio show...
I can go to RNZ National web page and listen (with a small delay from radio)
I can also watch the radio show on a 'live feed' there
(Radio with pictures with a much longer delay to radio)
an experience which is akin to watching TV in the 1960s
- there is a certain Thunderbirds feel to it for some reason.
(apparently you can watch it on Freeview channel 50 as well, but that is not mentioned on the web page - though people might rather save their metered bandwidth use - dunno what the delay period is on there either)Why do I have to see it?
I have to engage (tie up) another whole 'sense' and nothing was really added apart from an occasional photo of a burning boat early on - obviously the multi media platform is just to mop up eyes on devices, simultaneous connection is not really rewarded or needed - it all just seems to add a new layer of production and wardrobe costs to radio for little overall benefit. (am I better informed?)First day I know, and I only engaged with the first hour - but I'm unconvinced with the need for multi-platform tv format, great to have John Campbell back as a conduit for sanity though.

...but there are certainly a few involved who are hardly decent in their actions, but can present themselves as such. Who these people are will depend on who you ask.
So just like politics then...

secret search of their home
The Kleines strike me as the kind of decent New Zealanders who would have happily supplied DNA samples had they been extended the civilised courtesy of being asked and had the situation explained to them, maybe it's the cyber squad who are more gung-ho about clandestinely gathering data?
On whose directive did they leap to the CIA playbook from square one?it's not just whether Mr and Mrs Kleine have any ongoing concerns about these Police actions, it's whether we all should...
...and we should
- these actions do not speak of a firm grip on the basics of the reality of a civilised and inclusive society, they speak of fear and control. -
Hard News: About Campbell Live, in reply to
Crowd seeding and other broadcasts…
clever tagline “Radio With Pictures”
It almost behooves him to get Karyn Hay and/or Barry Jenkin to do inaugural voice over intros (and maybe a Fane Flaws theme) – Karyn's & Barry’s voices are as culturally and cerebrally entrenched as John Campbell’s.
(plus that x-factor – trusted voices)another catchcry could be – ‘Refreshingly wireless!!’
that covers all the bases…Speaking of cultural icons this mixed it up nicely…
