I regret not buying the dandelion head-in-a-paperweight that was a the Christchurch airport Ballantynes shop for years and years ( maybe a decade). I nearly bought it so many times, then one day I decided that today would be the day. When I got there, paperweight was gone; “old stock” they thought. Which all just goes to show…

Yes. The global economic crisis and a high Kiwi dollar, combined with the Christchurch earthquakes (which have hammered the tourism industry for the whole of the South Island).
