It was good too read this,i only met him once,but i could tell he was a great guy! I remember seeing it on the news,and getting a shock.So sorry for your loss.

As someone who is the eldest (in a family of 6 sibs) may I note that younger siblings feel differently according to a) upbringing (one of my sibs was ‘given’ to her grandparents to bring up) and position in the family order. And – you miss sibs a great deal…

Maybe all sisters say that. Maybe it's our job to believe such things. I don't know

I know one or two younger brothers who might feel the same about their elder sisters. Just saying.

Beautifully written. Particularly poignant for me since the loss of my best friend, who seemed to share many of Barney's fine qualities. The ability with people, to accept and draw them closer. I am so sorry for your loss.
