I used to hear things about Westport, but nothing this bad. It explains why Nelson has had some nasty incidents too.
I used to believe white power et al were only a danger to themselves. Little fifedoms exacting revenge kneecappings etc on their own 'disloyal' members.

I end up doing more work (& therefore avoiding the same) on Sunday evenings than any other time, anyway.
Yesterday I went to a "This is your Life John Master" aka Col. (rtd) Master ONZM, MC(from Borneo) at the Papanui RSA.
I think he contributes to kiwiblog, but that aside. He was the last commander of 161 Bty in Viet Nam. His affectionate nick-name was "Motherhen" because of his concern for his troops.
A few wore the white cross of Long Tan & a few more orange ribbons, most wore their medals from that time (the yonger ones there had the good grace not to confuse the issue and didn't wear ours). He's 72 or there abouts and was responsible for our Govt acknowledging that agent orange was sprayed on our troops. John kept the maps showing the areas of operations which included the spraying.
