I think the speed of the yeah is intended to indicate the level of familiarity with a point they agree with, or at least understand. One long slow measured yeah is like "that's deep, sista", whereas "yeahyeahyeahyeah..yup..yup......Yeah!" is going from x12 on MySky to x6 to normal speed...catching up, slowing…
