  • Steve Parks,

Look Dave, I can see you're really upset about this. I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill, and think things over.

  • Jeremy Eade,

In as much as it has been related unnecessarily to s59, Mason did himself no favours.

Actually I think it is related to s59 in concept as he tried to say he was being corrective. And the 2009 new zealand law now says violence is undoubtedly an influence on personality and is a fucking huge hole in the head of our shared society.Zero tolerance , that's why we all voted Act right?

Running passed all those coffins, that was scary shit!!! I think all political party ads should have just rows of coffins and then , "you are dying, vote Conservative, let Jaweh work his magic."

    And lost.

I don't think you're helping Dave C's case. In as much as this became a "section 59" issue, he did himself and the anti-"aniti-smaking bill" side no favours.

How do we get it through their heads - them, their apologists, and the pricks in the media who are willing to put their names to excuses, that it's not ok.

WTF are you talking about? Is this a mildly homophobic comment, or a lame attempt at humour?

I would have thought it would be people standing up to those making the excuses. And not tolerating those in positions of influence or power who stand quietly beside those who are making the excuses.

    Mildly racist too...

I'm still astounded. Who in the fuck defends assaulting children?

When I explain to foreigners that 'in NZ there was a law passed about hitting children' they're dumbstruck when they find out that there was public outrage, and one tenth of the population signed a law to have a referendum to reinstate the right.

I blame Giovanni and his roman mates . Turned their back on the roman and greek gods and imported a cult from the middle east and franchised it bigtime.

  • giovanni tiso,

Oh, no, not at all. I wholeartedly agree - although it should be remarked that in Italy for instance politeism is alive and well under the guise of the cult of the saints. Some things are very hard to unteach, and the Church has always shrewdly accommodate them.

Asked a couple of years ago what he believed, our oldest responded that he believed in Jesus except for sea and rivers, where he believed in Poseidon. We'll knock the Jesus part out of him (not in that sense, Ms Bradford) and he'll be all set so far as I'm concerned.
