What I want to know is when Wellywood is going to start feeding my appetite for B-grade horror movies with dance numbers again —

Ooh, bit late here.

If Jacqui does appear briefly, it must be a nanosecond's worth, compared to all the others on screen who don't get a credit.

Having said that, I'd better watch again....

Oooh thanks for the DVD/CD! I've just found out now, as some asswipe burgled our house on Friday night & took both laptops. (along with other less expensive but more sentimental items).

Doesn't she appear briefly?

Oh, how strange. In the credits for "Dear John", Jacqui FitzGerald is called "actor". She is actually the singer.

My favourite thing about the Philippines Got Talent clip isn't just BM's bombastic performance, it's the judges comments afterwards. Specifically, I really dig how they effortlessly switch between Filipino and Philippine English (and a smattering of French).

It makes me wish New Zealand could be simultaneously bilingual in te reo…

... with a great sense of deja vu I tried my line ..... and the pimply-faced youth behind the counter completely missed it and led me to the (a)isle of vices – kids these days, just no clues

You are talking about modern yoof, get a grip...
Oh, you did!…

This is great!

I remember my Mum used to do the hand jive.

And suddenly, there's Lionel Hampton! I'd really like to see the next part.

You watched the third Matrix film more than once? I'm so, so sorry for you.

It's hard to imagine Bruce Spence changing ages, really. I forgot he was in the third Matrix film until I saw it again the other day.

I often wonder whether that was Bruce Spence in the Dear John TVC, but in retrospect he was probably too old for the role – he was filming the Mad Maxes around that time.

@Russell. You did good stuff at the SPADA conference, asking the questions we all wanted to ask. Nevertheless, Coleman was another example of disappearing when there came question time from us in the back stalls.

The problem with promoting TVNZ7 as the default PSB (as much as I love TVNZ7)…

since it's Friday a story (a true one, from yesterday):

When I had my first job, just graduated working for the local Uni I got the job of outfitting a workshop – I spent a day wandering around town costing out the tools we needed ... at almost every hardware…

Worthy recipients of The Trons prize indeed.

While these are not likely to be released, here's somewhat incongruent Ace of Bass bass cover:

and a somewhat better cover of The Sign:

Bah! As a former flatmate of Greg Locke's I thought I would've hosed in with my assorted references to his interests and characteristics...

On the other hand, yep, good news about a new L.E.Ds album. But you forgot to include Helen alongside Blair and Marcus, Russell.

Since it's Friday, and the theme seems to be awesome performances, I think it's time to reflect on the quality of Philippines Got Talent:

Friday.

Dancing with the stars in Argentina

I assume it's genuine.

I find it difficult to look at this without thinking of Rodney Hide.

I'm not sure what I'm more excited about – winning the Trons prize or the bangin' new LEDs track (and news of a new album)! It's chur-pants Friday.
